A typewriter that only exists because the phone folds.
Halfpage is a typewriter writing app for the iPhone Duo. Half-fold the phone and the page sits on top, with a mechanical keyboard below. $2.99, paid once.
Tabletop
Half-fold your iPhone Duo and the top half becomes the page. The bottom half becomes a typewriter keyboard, with round keys, a type-head caret and paper grain. Every key makes its own sound.
Closed, open, and on any iPhone
Closed, the outer display shows a read-only glance of your page. Fully open, the page fills the display with the system keyboard. On any other iPhone or iPad running iOS 27, the keyboard sits below the page.
